![]() In this unit we explore ways to create and write our poems. This unit allows us to reflect on issues that are going on around us, whether they are a close issue or something that is happening around the world. I decided to write about loving our friends and class mates because we have grown to care for each other and to appreciate each other, it is important to build good and healthy relationships with our peers. Also, I wrote about thai citizens and how we should all get along and wish everyone would be safe from dangers and negativity. The project was a challenge because there were specific ways in which a poet needs to write. Some words must have a fixed tone and that the tone must continue onto other stanza's as well. Overall, I learned to express my thoughts and assemble them into a poem, to think of and become aware of certain issues around us and try to teach and share thoughts to other people reading the poem. 1) STRATEGIC LEARNERS a) Recognize what is important to know and understand c) Plan how to learn without wasting time d) Use technology to do research and to work 2) INNOVATIVE THINKERS a) Build on the ideas, explanations, and reasons of others c) Be creative and original d) Use technology to create high quality products 3) ARTICULATE COMMUNICATORS a) Listen, read, write, and speak for different purposes and using different methods b) Tell what we understand and how we understand to different social groups c) Use technology and media to clarify, explain, and state our ideas 4) MORALLY INTELLIGENT PERSONS a) Show behavior that is moral, honest, and correct according to our society’s rules b) Encourage honesty, justice and peace in the community d) Use technology in ways that do no harm 5) ALTRUISTIC GLOBAL CITIZENS a) Live a healthy lifestyle and be responsible citizens b) Respect other cultures and those who are different from us c) Show concern and responsibility for the well-being of the community In Thai Language, we had to present the ideas on how to present our vision and opinions and whether we needed to include facts and evidence to support them. We described different ways of presenting our vision and learned that an individuals experience would be different to others. Therefore, to have the best visions and opinion, one must have many experiences and would be capable of expressing them fluently. Bullet points and images were used in the presentation to allow visual learners to follow along the presentation, allowing them to see examples as images so it could become more relatable. Our project consisted on 6 members, at the end of the presentation we needed to include a Quiz, to see if our audience learned something from our presentation. We also provided explanations for the answers and reflected on the 'student's' knowledge whether they learned from the presentations or not. Working as a team was the key importance of this project because there were many areas to cover and every member had to present. It was crucial for all members to learn from the powerpoint in order to present in their best abilities. Group decisions were made and shared amongst all members. Also, we used technology to do research on particular topics in order to present it to the class efficiently.
