HIV is a virus that destroys the CD4+ cells in the white blood cell to decrease the immune system's strength and so people with HIV would have low tolerance to diseases, people would often get AIDS. Therefore, to study and learn more, we researched on this particular topic and created a brochure to inform other people of this virus and disease that has no definite cure. Many doctors and scientists are developing better medication that would finally cure AIDS however, these medications, in the present, could only slow down the growth and replication of the viruses so they could decrease it's rate of destroying CD4+ cells. This concerns the well being of the community by informing the public, ways of which the disease could be spread, how it could be prevented and if there are medical treatments. Also, it informs the public of the scientific research and how the body would try to fight against the virus or how the virus affects the body. Also, the group project concerns team working skills and good plan to create the product as successfully as possible, our team contributed equally to the project and had fun while working. This project provided insight on HIV and AIDS for the readers and the researchers which shows that the process benefits everybody. Not only that, the project was design to look graphically attractive so readers are willing to read and learn while examining the brochure as well. Blood circulates around our body and supplies oxygen, but there are white blood cells in our bodies as well that helps fight against pathogens and decreases our chance of getting infected by diseases. In this lab, we counted up our friend's white blood cells in a blood smear. The white blood cells we were investigating and counting were:
The project provides insight on white blood cells where we are able to understand its structure and luckily was able to identify the white blood cell that has been transformed. The project allows the students to really visualize the real structure and how white blood cells look in a microscope. To be able to see this, we would want to take care of our selves and provide information for other people so that the well being of the community improves and people are informed that the abnormality in the white blood cell count could affect the individuals health.
