Overall, the project was incredibly fun to do, we got to express our creative ideas and also the artistic side. Throughout the whole project, I've learned massively from the research on 'Myanmar'. The timeline allowed us to visualize the key events that happened through time and how it might have affected the country (Myanmar) and the model demonstrated a famous and important attraction sight, which was the Shwedagon Pagoda. One of the success is that the timeline was completed with visually attractive designs, to allow readers to feel engaged and excited. There are images around the timeline as well, so the reader has more insight to what the events were about. Such as the elections in 2010 when Aung Saan Suu Kyi's NLD party won and the image of citizens holding up a picture of Aung Saan Suu Kyi, readers could imagine being there at the time. Another was the fact that our team had good teamwork, we divided up the work equally amongst ourselves and helped each other throughout, whether it was by building the model together or finding information on the key events in the timeline. This project allowed us to become extremely patient with the graphics and model and each other because everything was time consuming and that it needed delicate care so the product comes out as expected. Also, communicating skills was used so much because we were working in pairs and if communication is faulty, the work would not be produced as planned and it could become disastrous. Fortunately, we were able to demonstrate similar ideas and agree on a common goal, so the project was done sufficiently. However, one of the difficulties is time, this was because there were so many projects to do and there were not much time, the ideal improvement could have been the action plan where it planned out inaccurately. The action plan could have been made in a tighter schedule so that the whole project could be completed 1 week in advance. After 2 weeks of working on the project, we found out that we were running behind the schedule even if the action plan stated that we were on track. What I have learnt from myself is that, I must take more care and be able to make quick changes so that the work would be done in a much shorter time, time was spent on ‘key events’ in the timeline, which took over a lot of the time to create and finish the model. In the future, equal distribution of work for the model and timeline should be maintained. As our model was being made, we considered the materials and their effects on the environment as well, we did not use materials that were non-biodegradable. This would be environmentally friendly once we finish the project and it would be able to decompose. It is an important aspect to consider as well because it is one of the main focuses in the ESLOs. The project reflects on all ESLOS because we are able to recognize what we are learning and focus on the important parts, there were mistakes throughout the process where those helped us improve and we did not make the same mistakes again (such as using ice cream sticks which took too long). We also planned the work in advance so that we are on schedule and on task. Throughout we used technology and books to find out information on Myanmar. We build on ideas and how to create different products. ESLOS 1) STRATEGIC LEARNERS How do we learn? We can a) Recognize what is important to know and understand b) Reflect on our learning and how our mistakes help us to improve c) Plan how to learn without wasting time d) Use technology to do research and to work 2) INNOVATIVE THINKERS What new ideas and ways of thinking are possible? We can a) Build on the ideas, explanations, and reasons of others b) Apply what we know to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems, c) Be creative and original d) Use technology to create high quality products 3) ARTICULATE COMMUNICATORS How do we communicate with others? We can a) Listen, read, write, and speak for different purposes and using different methods b) Tell what we understand and how we understand to different social groups c) Use technology and media to clarify, explain, and state our ideas 4) MORALLY INTELLIGENT PERSONS In what ways do we show we make the right choices? We can a) Show behavior that is moral, honest, and correct according to our society’s rules b) Encourage honesty, justice and peace in the community c) Show we are hardworking and caring d) Use technology in ways that do no harm 5) ALTRUISTIC GLOBAL CITIZENS How do we show we are good citizens of the world? We can a) Live a healthy lifestyle and be responsible citizens b) Respect other cultures and those who are different from us c) Show concern and responsibility for the well-being of the community d) Use technology to promote community service 6) LEADERS FOR THE FUTURE What do good leaders do? We can a) Build teamwork and leadership to achieve common goals b) Work through our differences and accept group decisions c) Evaluate how well we work together and give one another helpful feedback d) Use technology to solve our problems and do our work together

Shwedagon Pagoda is one of the most attractive tourist attraction because of it's golden complexion and the beautiful designs inside the Pagoda. The Shwedagon pagoda model that we made were made our of ice cream sticks, cardboard paper, fake grass and miniature trees and foam. Then painted with gold acrylic paint. The key component of the Pagoda is to have everything golden as it is reflecting off the bright sunlight in Myanmar. While working on the model, it tested our patience and team working skills because of the time consuming processes of building and also time constraints. Team working skills was hard because it required two people to be working on the project and often the amount of work was distributed not equally. However, in the end the work was done and completed as expected. The model was using environmentally friendly materials (except for the foam) because we wanted to limit the amount of non-biodegradable materials, however, foam was used at the top of the Pagoda because nothing else was able to be cut into a sharp point, therefore, we used just a small amount of foam in order to complete the top of the Pagoda. Also, we did research on the Pagoda to understand it's importance to Myanmar citizens and we show respect to other cultures as well. Problem solving skills played an important role too because there were many obstacles whilst working because of time constraints, we changed the materials used, half way, from ice cream sticks into the cardboard paper which made the process much easier to complete and in a faster rate as well. The final product is not too heavy, demonstrates the Shwedagon Pagoda in an abstract style with trees and grass on the sides, it is also a simplified version of the pagoda, excluding small pagoda's around the large Pagoda. This was to create a model that was different to other groups and to center the focus on the large Pagoda because that is the most important part of the model. Final Product
A timeline on Myanmar was done on 3 future boards underlining 15 key events that has happened from 1800s to 2000s. Starting from the 3 Anglo-Burmese wars, Burma's name changing into Myanmar and until the elections of 2015. The events are designed into squared papers with a cover that can be opened and the information would be inside, this would reduce the amount of space used and it is more creative! The timeline includes images and photographs that relates to events so that the readers could see and relate to the actual event. Often, images say more than words. This assignment allowed us to understand and know facts about the country of Myanmar, not only that, it provides great in sight on their leaders, tourist attractions and historical events. The assignment tested our communication and team working skills let along our use of time and if our work was planned out efficiently or not. We had to put forth our communication and team working skills because this project was a group work and that it required communication between to people so that the product could be presented as expected. Also, the action plan that we made in the proposal was an extremely beneficial thing to do because it gave us an idea of when and how we were going to complete the project. There were many challenges while making the timeline, such as the time consuming process of designing the information and finding the images that would be used. Also, the difficulty of taking the materials home to work on because the 3 future board is extremely large. However, we over came the obstacle and was able to finish the timeline eventually.
