Sufficiency economy philosophy was first implemented by King Rama 9, King Bhumibol Adulyadej. It provided insight on how to live a life that is sufficient and live without concerning on economic aspects. The philosophy tries to conserve natural resources, well being of the community and environmental conditions. There are three major components which are moderation, reasonableness and immunity to the changes. So our final project was based on this principle and philosophy. We then decided to create a product from waste materials such as toilet rolls. Our design was to create pencil holders using the toilet rolls and newspaper. We did this by using paper mache and wrapping the newspaper around the toilet rolls multiple times. Once it dries we would paint them into different colors and decorate it as we like. By this, we decrease the amount of waste materials by using it in a creative way, we also reuse and recycle materials such as toilet paper. It provides sufficiency on the terms that we do not have to buy pencil holders, we can just create it for ourselves! Report ![]()
