![]() My first volunteer hours were spent at the 'Foundation For The Blind In Thailand Under The Royal Patronage Of H.M. The Queen.' We had assigned jobs to do, my job was to help the 7th Graders write their essays in English. They had to write essays about what Sports Day is, what they wanted to be when they get older and they also wrote about what they find difficult. We spent 6 hours doing volunteer work, rotating from teaching math, english to teaching biology as well. While volunteering at the foundation I realized that the students found it difficult to do certain things and they require a lot of help. However, they did not make it seem difficult, they reek of positive energy and desire to learn. So when we get to help these students and see their reactions, I was very moved and it inspired me. It inspired me to not give up, no matter how difficult things seems to be. The students that I taught were determined to listen and understand the content that was being taught. This made the process of teaching much easier and this made me understand how we should be have and listen to our teachers in class because they are working so hard. ESLOS: STRATEGIC LEARNERS:- Recognize what is important to know and understand. INNOVATIVE THINKERS:- Apply what we know to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems. ARTICULATE COMMUNICATORS:- Tell what we understand and how we understand to different social groups. MORALLY INTELLIGENT PERSONS:- Show we are hardworking and caring.
