![]() Our 2nd community service was done at the Veteran Foundation of Bangkok. We decided to make poppy flower for the soldiers, the money that the foundation collected would be given to the soldiers that were injured. Most of the time, there were wives of the soldiers, making these poppies. We spent along time making the poppies, starting from the process of making the petals, the stem and the leaves. It was challenging because we had to make the poppies really neat and in a way that was similar to the 'model' poppies. We starting working at 10 am and finished 3pm. The foundation decided to allow us to take the pieces of poppies home to continue making them. The final deadline for finishing up the poppies is after Songkran break. The most challenging part about making the poppies is we need 'patience'. The process is very delicate so the maker needs to remain, calm and concentrated. If the final product does not meet the standard, you would have to take out the parts again and redo them. So, in order to save time, we must make it neat and pretty since the beginning. We learned to work together and listen to other people's opinions in order to complete the work and get a successful result. Our group members: Pizza, Milly, Gap and Junior. ESLOS: Strategic Learners- Reflect on our learning and how our mistakes help us to improve. Morally Intelligent Person- Show we are hardworking and caring. Leaders For the Future- Build teamwork and leadership to achieve common goals. Evaluate how well we work together and give one another helpful feedback.
